Tasks include sweeping, sanitizing commonly touched surfaces, doing laundry, washing windows, picking up trash out front, all the lovely tasks to keep the food bank looking good, safe and clean! You will join circle up at the begining of the shift with the rest of the volunteers, and let floor managers know that you are signed up in the cleaning role. Floor mangers will support you during the shift, you will be working independently, but can check in at any time with floor managers for direction. There is some lifting with this gig, and stairs to navigate, but there are other duties that can be non lifting. The jobs we will be needing help with are: -Hanging signs, decorations. -Organizing materials -Setting up tables and other silent auction materials -Arranging welcome tables and sign in -Assisting development staff with whatever is needed on the day to get ready! This event is at St. Demetrius church at 2100 Boyer Avenue East Parking is available on site at the church There are a lot of stairs at the church and there is some heavier lifting of chairs and tables.
